Gabriel Mendes (ex Spartans) joins Universitario

Club Atletico Universitario Salto (LSB) agreed terms with 26-year old Brazilian center Gabriel Mendes (206cm-1996). Mendes played this summer at Spartans in Ecuadorian Liga Basquet Pro. He also played for A.A. Sao Caetano (Paulista A2) in Brazilian league.
Mendes has played also professionally in Argentina (Quimsa, Independiente and Quimsa), Venezuela (Broncos) and Brazil (Palmeiras, Ginastico, Paschoalotto/Bauru, Osasco and Sorocabana).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the CBC League Semifinals in 2021. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian LDD Honorable Mention back in 2019.
