The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: D.Sporting (#4) and Hebraica (#6). D.Sporting (3-3) won against visiting Hebraica (1-5) 70-59. They outrebounded Hebraica 47-36 including 34 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Natasha Dolinsky (173-1997, college: Lincoln, MO) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Argentinian center Ornela Bacchini (188-1989, college: OLLU) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. D.Sporting's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Argentinian Giuliana Baccarelli produced 11 points and 6 assists for the guests. D.Sporting moved-up to third place. Hebraica lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with five games lost. D.Sporting's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena 25 de Agosto.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of 25 de Agosto. Argentinian Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 18 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Carolina Fernandez contributed with 13 points and 9 assists for the winners. Sabrina Molina (179-1998) answered with 9 points and 14 rebounds for 25 de Agosto. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Undefeated Malvin have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. 25 de Agosto at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Yale. Malvin's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Yale.

Jacqueline Soto stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Aguada's coach Nicolas Altalef allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Agustina Bazan responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Aguada maintains second place with 4-2 record having just two points less than leader Remeros. Yale lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 25 de Agosto. Aguada will meet Hebraica (#6) in the next round. Yale's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Malvin.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aguada. Second ranked Aguada faced 3rd placed Yale. Host Aguada (4-2) smashed guests from Montevideo (2-4) 93-73. Aguada made 31-of-37 free shots (83.8 percent) during the game. Aguada outrebounded Yale 41-20 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Aguada looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Argentinian Jacqueline Soto stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Camila Kirschenbaum (170-2002, college: Binghamton) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds.
