Argentinian Jacqueline Soto) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Aguada and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5 (Second Stage).
The had a double-double of 27 points and ten rebounds, while her team crushed Yale (#5, 2-4) with 20-point margin 93-73. Aguada maintains the 2nd position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Second Stage. Aguada will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Soto turned to be Aguada's top player in her first season with the team. Jacqueline Soto averages this season 16.0ppg and 7.8rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Argentinian power forward Maria Jourdheuil (180-PF-1994) of league's best team Malvin. Jourdheuil impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 18 rebounds. Of course Malvin cruised to a 68-59 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked 25 de Agosto (#4, 2-4). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Malvin consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. A very good start of the Second Stage for her team, which won so far all 6 games without any defeat. Jourdheuil is a newcomer at Malvin and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.2ppg (#6). Her other stats are also decent: 10.2rpg and 3.7apg.
The third best performed player last round was Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-SF-2003) of Yale (#5). Bazan showcased her all-around game by recording 18 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in the last round. Despite Bazan's great performance Yale lost 73-93 to the higher-ranked Aguada (#2, 4-2). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Yale not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Bazan could try to bring Yale's a little bit higher in the standings. Bazan has individually a great season in Uruguay. After only 9 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.4ppg (5th best), rebounds with 9.8rpg (4th best) and assists with 5.0apg (4th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
