Miculka number one in Uruguay Liga Femenina for round 7- August 29, 2023
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, seven rebounds) to her team's victory, helping them to crush D.Sporting (#3, 4-4) with 19-point margin 77-58. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Malvin to consolidate first place in the Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Malvin keeps a perfect 7-0 record. In the team's last game Miculka had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. She turned to be Malvin's top player in her first season with the team. Carla Miculka has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (9th best: 13.3ppg). The second best player in last round's games was Argentinian Jacqueline Soto) of league's second-best Aguada. Soto had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Of course she led Aguada to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked 25 de Agosto (#5, 2-6) 70-47. Aguada's second position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 6-2 record is not bad at all. Soto is a newcomer at Aguada, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was Argentinian swingman Agustina Garcia (173-F/G-1996, agency: BIG) of D.Sporting (#3). Garcia scored 23 points and grabbed five rebounds. Despite Garcia's great performance D.Sporting lost 58-77 to #1 ranked Malvin. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing D.Sporting needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Garcia has a very solid season. In 4 games in Uruguay she scored 13.8ppg. Other top performing players last week: 4. Maria Jourdheuil (180-PF-1994) of Malvin - 3 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists 5.
