Argentinian Giuliana Baccarelli orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. D.Sporting (5-4) smashed visiting Yale (3-5) by 17 points 62-45. D.Sporting held Yale to an opponent 21.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.8 percent accuracy of the winners. D.Sporting forced 22 Yale turnovers and outrebounded them 54-39 including a 43-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Natasha Dolinsky (173-1997, college: Lincoln, MO) who helped to win the game recording 5 points and 11 rebounds and forward Pierina Rossi (171-2004) who added 13 points during the contest. D.Sporting's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Argentinian point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. D.Sporting maintains third position with 5-4 record having just two points less than leader Lagomar. Yale at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Hosts were rolled over by eighth ranked Lagomar (5-1) 90-45. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Remeros. Lagomar dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Remeros' 22. They outrebounded Remeros 42-31 including a 31-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Selena Medrik (177-1992) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Paraguayan forward Natalia Quevedo (170-1998) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Lagomar players scored in double figures. Lagomar's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Julieta Laubert produced 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Lucia Ortellado added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Lagomar moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Remeros.
