Selena Medrik
Argentinian Jacqueline Soto) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Aguada and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8 (Second Stage).
The had a double-double of 12 points and sixteen rebounds, while her team lost the game against the league's best team Malvin (#1, 8-0) 57-73. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Aguada maintains the 2nd position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Aguada will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 6-3 record. In the team's last game Soto had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. She turned to be Aguada's top player in her first season with the team. Jacqueline Soto averages this season 15.3ppg and 9.0rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young center Selena Medrik (177-C-1992) of Places 7-10 best team Lagomar. Medrik impressed basketball fans with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Of course she led Lagomar to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Remeros (5-1) 90-45. This victory allowed Lagomar to move up to 1st position in the standings. Her team lost just one game this Second Stage, while they won 5 matches. Medrik is a newcomer at Lagomar and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.
The third best performed player last round was Julieta Laubert of Remeros (#8). Laubert showcased her all-around game by recording 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the last round. Despite Laubert's great performance Remeros lost 45-90 to Lagomar (5-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Remeros had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 1st lost game is hopefully really an accident. Laubert's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Laubert has a very solid season. In 15 games in Uruguay she scored 9.4ppg. She also has 4.3rpg and 2.5spg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
