The most exciting game of round 9 in the Liga Femenina took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked 25 de Agosto (2-8) to fourth ranked Yale (4-5) 69-67 in the game for the fourth place. Yale forced 22 25 de Agosto turnovers. Strangely 25 de Agosto outrebounded Yale 38-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-2003) who led her team to a victory with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Argentinian point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Catalina Pereira (176-2004) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds for 25 de Agosto. 25 de Agosto's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Yale maintains fourth place with 4-5 record. 25 de Agosto lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Hebraica.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: Malvin (#1) and Hebraica (#5). Hebraica was crushed at home by 29 points 38-67 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Sabina Bello (173-1989) stepped up and scored 14 points for the winners and Maria Jourdheuil chipped in 4 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Argentinian Abril Ramirez (167-2000) with 9 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Malvin (9-0) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 9 victories in a row. Hebraica at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with 25 de Agosto.
An interesting game for Aguada (7-3) which hosted in Aguada 3rd placed D.Sporting (5-5). Second ranked Aguada managed to get a 9-point victory 67-58. Camila Kirschenbaum nailed 21 points for the winning side. Ornela Bacchini came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists for D.Sporting in the defeat. D.Sporting's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Aguada maintains second place with 7-3 record having just one point less than leader Lagomar. Loser D.Sporting keeps the third position with five games lost.

An interesting game for Aguada (7-3) which hosted in Aguada 3rd placed D.Sporting (5-5). Second ranked Aguada managed to get a 9-point victory 67-58. Guard Camila Kirschenbaum (170-2002, college: Binghamton) nailed 21 points for the winning side and Argentinian point guard Rocio Estrada (161-1987) accounted for 15 points. Argentinian center Ornela Bacchini (188-1989, college: OLLU) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Natasha Dolinsky (173-1997, college: Lincoln, MO) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for D.Sporting in the defeat. D.Sporting's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Aguada maintains second place with 7-3 record having just one point less than leader Lagomar. Loser D.Sporting keeps the third position with five games lost.
