Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Aguada (#3) and Hebraica (#5). Aguada (15-5) won against visiting Hebraica (11-8) 96-86. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hebraica. American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) fired 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The other American import Victor Rudd (206-1991, college: S.Florida) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. American center Franklin Hassell (205-1988, college: ODU) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aguada have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 15-5 record having just two points less than leader Penarol. Defending champion Hebraica keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Aguada are looking forward to face Urupan (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hebraica's supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Malvin.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo: Nacional (#2) and Bigua (#6). Nacional (16-2) won against visiting Bigua (9-11) 71-67. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian forward Franco Giorgetti (203-1992) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Eric Anderson contributed with 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Nacional's coach Alvaro Ponce allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Josh Cunningham (203-1996, college: Dayton) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds for Bigua. Nacional have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-2 record behind leader Penarol. Bigua at the other side keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Malvin. Nacional's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Penarol.
Leader Penarol delivered the seventeenth victory on Friday night. This time they beat 12th ranked L.Borges (3-17) 57-52 in Montevideo. Jayson Granger had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side Romani Hansen responded with 6 points and 12 rebounds. Penarol maintains first position with 17-3 record. Loser L.Borges stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. Penarol's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Nacional.

In the last game of round 22 Malvin defeated Trouville in Montevideo 82-75.



Aguada - Hebraica 96-86

Leader Penarol delivered the seventeenth victory on Friday night. This time they beat 12th ranked L.Borges (3-17) 57-52 in Montevideo. Naturalized Italian guard Jayson Granger (191-1989) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Emiliano Serres (204-1997, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Granger is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side U.S. Virgin Islands forward Romani Hansen (203-1997, college: Albany) responded with 6 points and 12 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward LaRon Smith (205-1993, college: Auburn, agency: Helping Ballers) scored 4 points and 13 rebounds. Penarol maintains first position with 17-3 record. Loser L.Borges stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. There was no surprise in Montevideo where 9th ranked Trouville (6-14) was defeated by seventh ranked Malvin (9-11) 82-75 on Friday. American Daniel Hamilton (201-1995, college: UConn) had a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Lucas Capalbo (175-2000, college: Odessa JC) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Santiago Fernandez (186-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and American power forward Lee Roberts (203-1987, college: Findlay, OH, agency: BIG) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Malvin moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Bigua. Trouville lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost.
