Bazan number one in Uruguay Liga Femenina for round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-SF-2003) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Yale Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 20-year old player was the main contributor (15 points, six rebounds and seven assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Tabare (#10, 0-3) with 37-point margin 79-42. Yale maintains the 3rd position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Yale will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Bazan had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Agustina Bazan has solid league stats. She is in league's top in assists (4th best: 5.7apg) and averages impressive 5.0spg and 53.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Argentinian Julieta Ale (176-G-1995) of league's second-best Defensor Sporting Club Montevideo. Ale had a very good evening with a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led D.Sporting to another comfortable win 63-45 over Urunday (1-3) being unquestionably team leader. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Ale is one of the most experienced players at D.Sporting and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Julieta Laubert (F-2008) of Remeros Mercedes (#8). Laubert scored 15 points and passed 6 assists. Despite Laubert's great performance the Remeros lost 48-75 to Aguada (#4, 3-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Remeros not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Laubert could try to bring Remeros' a little bit higher in the standings. Laubert has individually a great season in Uruguay. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.0apg (9th best).
