Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Malvin as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Malvin smashed 6th ranked Juventud in Montevideo 75-37. Malvin dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Juventud's 26. Malvin forced 28 Juventud turnovers and outrebounded them 53-36 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Malvin looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Juventud's players. Argentinian forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Carolina Fernandez (186-2003) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Paraguayan guard Constanza Lopez (-2006) answered with 8 points and 8 rebounds for Juventud. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Malvin (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Juventud at the other side dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. They share the position with Lagomar and Tabare.
Another exciting game for Remeros (2-2) which played in Montevideo against 6th ranked Lagomar (1-3). Seventh ranked Remeros won 72-67. Center Ornella Bacchini (-1989) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and Melina Zapata chipped in 14 points and 14 rebounds. Remeros' coach Martin Lopez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Paraguayan forward Natalia Quevedo (170-1998) responded with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Remeros moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 25 de Agosto. Lagomar at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Juventud and Tabare.

Julieta Ale nailed 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Rocio Bereilh came up with 28 points and 5 rebounds for 25 de Agosto in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for D.Sporting. They maintain second place with 4-0 record behind leader Malvin. Loser 25 de Agosto keeps the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Remeros.

In the last two games of round 5 winless Hebraica was smashed by Tabare on the road 77-36. Aguada lost to Urunday on its own court 58-59.
The most impressive performance of 5th round was 18 points and 7 steals by Aldana Gayoso of Aguada.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Tabare's (1-3) home victory over bottom-ranked Hebraica (0-5) 77-36 on Sunday. Tabare dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hebraica's 18. Tabare forced 32 Hebraica turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Hebraica's players. Forward Matilde Talamas (-2006) nailed 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Camila Dos Santos (169-1989) accounted for 11 points and 7 assists. Forward Magdalena Machuca (-2006) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds and center Agostina Nogueira (-2004) added 1 points and 17 rebounds respectively for Hebraica in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tabare left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Juventud and Lagomar. It was Hebraica's fifth loss in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost.

There was an upset when 4th placed Aguada (3-2) was edged at home by tenth ranked Urunday (2-3) 59-58 on Wednesday. Urunday made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Urunday outrebounded Aguada 53-40 including a 44-33 advantage in defensive rebounds. Argentinian point guard Abril Ramirez (167-2000) nailed 8 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and center Abril Mieres (170-2000) accounted for 6 points and 18 rebounds.
