Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Urunday (#5) and Lagomar (#6). Lagomar was defeated at home 48-53 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Urunday forced 20 Lagomar turnovers. Argentinian point guard Abril Ramirez (167-2000) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Portuguese forward Juliana Ferreira (180-1989) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Urunday's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Paraguayan forward Natalia Quevedo (170-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds for lost side. Urunday have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 4-3 record. Lagomar at the other side keeps the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
Bottom-ranked Hebraica (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 86-31 loss to fourth ranked Yale (5-1) in Montevideo. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Lara Barbato (181-2004) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals. Romina Dalesandro contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals for the winners. Yale's coach Gino Alderete felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Camila Rijo (-2004) answered with 8 points and 11 rebounds for Hebraica. Yale have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with D.Sporting. Hebraica at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost.
Other games of round 7 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
