Bazan's 23 points and 6 assists give her Player of the Week award

20-year old Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-SF-2003) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Yale Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
She had the game-high 23 points adding six rebounds and six assists for Yale in her team's victory, helping them to edge out Juventud (#9, 2-6) 75-71. Yale maintains the 2nd position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They are still close to the very top. Yale would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 7-1 record. Bazan turned to be Yale's top player in her first season with the team. Bazan has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 14.6ppg), assists (5th best: 4.9apg) and averages solid 5.6spg and 61.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Florencia Fernandez (175-F-1998) of Atletico Aguada. She is a forward in her first (recently joined) season at Aguada. In the last game Fernandez recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Aguada lost that game 57-65 to league's leader Malvin (#1, 8-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Aguada still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 6-3 record is not bad at all. Fernandez is one of the most experienced players at Aguada and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.5ppg (#1). She also registered 14.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Debora Coli (180-F/C-2001) of 25 de Agosto Montevideo (#5). Coli showcased her all-around game by recording 13 points, 16 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. She was a key player of 25 de Agosto, leading her team to a 55-53 win against the lower-ranked Lagomar (#8, 3-5). 25 de Agosto needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Coli has a very solid season. In 3 games in Uruguay she scored 9.3ppg.
