Lopez number one in Uruguay Liga Femenina for round 9

Paraguayan Guard Constanza Lopez (G-2006) had a great game in the last round for Juventud Las Piedras, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 17-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, six rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat Remeros (#7, 3-5) 72-59. Juventud maintains the 9th position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. Juventud is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-6 record. In the team's last game Lopez had a remarkable 82.4% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Juventud, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Constanza Lopez has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 19.0ppg. Lopez is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 8.6rpg), assists (7th best: 4.4apg) and averages impressive 4.3spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Argentinian Julieta Sienra (161-PG-2003) of league's second-best Yale Montevideo. Sienra had a very good evening with 28 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course she led Yale to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked 25 de Agosto (#6, 4-5) 75-53. Yale's second position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 8 matches. Sienra is one of the most experienced players at Yale and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.6ppg (#9). She also recorded 4.0 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Juventud's star - forward Sabrina Molina (180-PF-1998). Molina scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of Juventud Las Piedras, helping her team with a 72-59 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Remeros (#7, 3-5). The chances of Juventud not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Molina could try to bring Juventud's a little bit higher in the standings. Molina has a very solid season. In 2 games in Uruguay she scored 16.0ppg.
