There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Metropolitan. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 9 in the Metropolitan took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Bohemios (5-6) to fourth ranked Montevideo (7-3) 100-98 on Saturday evening. Montevideo forced 21 Bohemios turnovers. It was a good game for point guard Fernando Martinez (173-1979, agency: Pro Sports) who led his team to a victory with 32 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Center Mauricio Arregui (200-1998) contributed with 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Montevideo's coach Sergio Delgado used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Agustin Da Costa (191-1998) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds for Bohemios. Montevideo moved-up to third place, which they share with Capitol. Bohemios at the other side dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Stockolmo. Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Montevideo (#4) and Capitol (#4). Capitol was defeated at home 65-72 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Mauricio Arregui nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Santiago Tucuna came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds for Capitol in the defeat. Montevideo (7-3) moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Capitol. There were no big surprises in other games of round 9: L.Borges were beaten by Capitol on the road 65-62. Larranaga lost to Lagomar on its own court 77-82. Olimpia managed to outperform O.Mundial in Montevideo 82-75. Colon rolled over Verdirrojo at home 77-58. Bottom-ranked O.Mundial was crushed by Lagomar on the opponent's court 121-86. Verdirrojo was beaten by Olimpia in a home game 87-95.
The most impressive performance of 9th round was 26 points and 13 rebounds by Randy Rickards of Verdirrojo.




Goes - Stockolmo 64-61

Important game to mention about took place in Montevideo. Fifth ranked Goes (6-3) saved a 3-point derby victory at home edging 8th ranked Stockolmo (5-6) 64-61 on Thursday evening. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Capitol forced 19 L.Borges turnovers. Point guard Juan Galletto (182-1996) nailed 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and forward Martin Aguilera (195-1987, agency: Pro Sports) accounted for 16 points and 8 rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Cape Verdean Victor Andrade (202-2000) nailed 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Andres Aristimuno (184-1992) accounted for 16 points and 4 assists. Lagomar's coach Alejandro Muro allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Sebastian Ottonello (200-1997) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Felipe Garcia (173-1999) accounted for 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Olimpia players scored in double figures. Olimpia's coach Nicolas Altalef allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Facundo Medina (190-1994) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds and forward Santiago Massa (190-1997) added 19 points respectively for O.Mundial in the defeat. Olimpia have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-2 record. O.Mundial lost seventh consecutive game.
