Fernandez number one in Uruguay Liga Femenina for round 2 (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Florencia Fernandez (175-F-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Atletico Aguada, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 18 rebounds, while her team beat Yale (#4, 1-1) 83-75. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Aguada is placed at 2nd position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. But it's just the very beginning of the Second Stage and Aguada won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Fernandez has many years of experience at Aguada, through which she has constantly improved. Florencia Fernandez has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.0ppg, leads league in rebounds with 15.7rpg and is league's best passer with 1.2apg. Fernandez is in league's top in and averages impressive 3.3bpg and 2.2spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Sabrina Molina (180-PF-1998) of Places 7-11 leader Juventud Las Piedras. Molina had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds. Of course she led Juventud to another comfortable win outscoring Hebraica (0-2) 76-40. Her team has extremely good start of the Second Stage. They won both games so far. However the Second Stage is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Molina is one of the most experienced players at Juventud and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Juventud's star - Paraguayan guard Constanza Lopez (G-2006). Lopez scored 25 points and passed 6 assists. She was another key player of Juventud Las Piedras, helping her team with a 76-40 easy win against Hebraica (#10, 0-2). Juventud has a very good start of the Second Stage. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Lopez also has a very good start of the Second Stage with very strong stats. Lopez has a great season in Uruguay. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.2ppg (2nd best) and assists with 4.8apg (5th best).
