The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of 25 de Agosto (1-1) in Montevideo on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Juventud (3-0) 77-53. Juventud dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to 25 de Agosto's 30. Juventud forced 29 25 de Agosto turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Sabrina Molina (180-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals. Center Florencia Spinelli (186-1994) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Juventud's coach Ignacio Dangelo felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian power forward Debora Coli (180-2001) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: Malvin (#1) and D.Sporting (#3). Malvin (3-0) won against visiting D.Sporting (1-2) 80-75. It was a good game for Argentinian Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Carla Miculka contributed with 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Malvin's coach Juan Serdio allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. point guard Josefina Zeballos (172-2003) answered with 26 points and 5 rebounds for D.Sporting. In the last two games of round 3 Yale defeated Remeros in Montevideo 66-56. Winless Hebraica lost to undefeated Lagomar at home 50-78.
