Agustina Bazan gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan Liga Femenina (Second Stage) - by Hoops Agents

Talented Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-SF-2003) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Yale Montevideo and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
The 21-year old got a double-double of 16 points and 12 assists, while her team beat Remeros (#5, 0-3), Second Stage bottom-ranked team 66-56. Yale maintains the 3rd position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this stage. Yale will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Bazan had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. She has many years of experience at Yale, through which she has constantly improved. Bazan has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 15.7ppg), assists (3rd best: 5.4apg) and averages solid 5.6spg and 60.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young power forward Sabrina Molina (180-PF-1998) of Places 7-11 best team Juventud Las Piedras. Molina impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Of course she led Juventud to another comfortable win outscoring 25 de Agosto (1-1) 77-53. A very good start of the Second Stage for her team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Molina is one of the most experienced players at Juventud and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.3ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 12.3rpg and 6.7apg.

The third best performed player last round was Argentinian Melina Marcial (168-G-1998) of second-ranked Lagomar Canelones Montevideo. Marcial showcased her all-around game by recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Lagomar, leading her team to a 78-50 easy win against Hebraica (#11, 0-3). Lagomar has a very good start of the Second Stage. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Marcial also has a very good start of the Second Stage with very strong stats. Marcial has a very solid season. In 12 games in Uruguay she scored 9.3ppg. She also has 4.5rpg, 3.9apg and 2.9spg.
