First defeat of league's leader Malvin (3-1) against third ranked Yale (3-1) 86-85 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Malvin. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Yale made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 32 Malvin turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 rebounds. Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-2003) contributed with 26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 13 steals for the winners. Guard Carolina Fernandez (186-2003) replied with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for Malvin. Yale moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Malvin. Malvin will play next round against league's leader Aguada trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Yale will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked D.Sporting. It will be extra interesting game as D.Sporting is their local rival from Montevideo.

At the losing side Argentinian point guard Abril Ramirez (167-2000) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. D.Sporting maintains fourth position with 2-2 record. Urunday at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Hebraica and Remeros. D.Sporting's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Yale.
Tabare's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Hebraica (0-4) 49-27 on Sunday. The winners were led by Matilde Talamas who scored that evening 12 points and 5 rebounds. Even 2 points and 16 rebounds by Agostina Nogueira did not help to save the game for Hebraica. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tabare (1-2) left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with 25 de Agosto. It was Hebraica's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Remeros and Urunday. Tabare will meet 25 de Agosto (#9) in the next round. Hebraica will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 4 winless Remeros lost to undefeated Aguada on the road 52-80. Lagomar won against 25 de Agosto on its own court 52-50.

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Aguada (4-0) crushed at home bottom-ranked Remeros (0-4) 80-52 on Sunday. Aguada forced 30 Remeros turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The winners were led by swingman Martina Ferreira (176-2006) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and Sofia Herrera (179-2005) supported her with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Aguada players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds by forward Romina Giossa (-1998) did not help to save the game for Remeros. Center Ornella Bacchini (-1989, agency: BIG) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Remeros' coach Martin Lopez gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Aguada have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Loser Remeros still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Hebraica and Urunday. Aguada will meet league's second-placed Malvin in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Remeros will play against Urunday and hope to get finally their first victory.
