Cunningham comes back to Bigua

Josh Cunningham

Atletico Bigua Montevideo (LUB) added 28-year-old American forward Josh Cunningham (203cm-106kg-1996, college: Dayton) to their roster for the new 2024-25 season. This marks his return to Montevideo, where he has played before. Last season, he played for Red Scare (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S., averaging 7.5ppg, 3.5rpg, and 1.5apg in two TBT games. He also had a stint with Centauros de Portuguesa (SPB) in the Venezuelan league.
Cunningham is a very experienced player. His career has taken him to four continents, playing in seven countries. He has played professionally in Bosnia, Holland, Hungary, New Zealand, Romania, Venezuela, and the NBA G League.
Among many awards, his team won the Srpska Republic Cup in 2022. He was voted to the MVC All-Freshman Team back in 2015 during his college time.
Cunningham graduated from the University of Dayton in 2019 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player. He also played for Bradley University for one year.
