Wilson number one in Uruguay LUB for round 5

American Forward Jamil Wilson (201-F-1990) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Atletico Aguada Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5 (Second Stage).
The 34-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, six rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Penarol (#3, 18-7) 85-78. Aguada maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Uruguayan LUB. They are still close to the very top. Aguada would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 20-5 record. In the team's last game Wilson had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be Aguada's top player in his first season with the team. Jamil Wilson averages this season 14.6ppg and 6.9rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Josh Cunningham (203-F-1996) of Losers Stage second-ranked Atletico Bigua Montevideo. Cunningham had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Bigua was edged by slightly lower-ranked Urupan (#3, 10-16) 88-86. Bigua managed to keep the same second spot in Losers Stage. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-15 record. Cunningham is a newcomer at Bigua, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Argentinian forward Erik Thomas (195-PF-1995) of Urunday Universitario Montevideo (#4). Thomas showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Urunday, leading his team to a 78-74 win against #1 ranked Hebraica in a game of the week. Thomas has a very solid season. In 10 games in Uruguay he scored 21.5ppg. He also has 9.8rpg, 3.1apg and a FGP of 58.8%.
