Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Verdirrojo (#7) and Montevideo (#4). Verdirrojo (2-1) crushed visiting Montevideo (1-2) by 29 points 92-63. Verdirrojo dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Montevideo's 34. Verdirrojo looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for center Agustin Cabillon (198-1995) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Agustin Irastorza (-2005) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Lautaro Perez (180-2003) with 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo: Lagomar (#3) and Larranaga (#6). Lagomar (3-0) won against visiting Larranaga (1-2) 78-71. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Jamal Hartwell II (180-1999, college: UC Riverside) who led the winners and scored 27 points. Santiago Wohlwend accounted for 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Lagomar's coach Esteban Yaquinta allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Argentinian Mateo Bolivar (187-1992) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds for Larranaga in the defeat.
Atenas (3-0) managed to deliver another win on Monday. This time they beat Olimpia (0-2) in Montevideo 84-75. The best player for the winners was Mateo Pose who scored 20 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Christian Pereira who recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 3: winless Tabare lost to undefeated Stockolmo on the opponent's court 74-94. Colon unfortunately lost to Capitol in a home game 88-93. Winless Marne recorded a loss to L.Borges on the road 67-79.



Atenas - Olimpia 84-75

Atenas (3-0) managed to deliver another win on Monday. This time they beat Olimpia (0-2) in Montevideo 84-75. Atenas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Mateo Pose (190-1994) who scored 20 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American DeAngelo Stewart (197-1995, college: PFW) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Christian Pereira (194-1993) who recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Abel Agarbado (179-1993) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Stockolmo - Tabare 94-74

Very expected game in Montevideo where Tabare (0-3) was crushed by Stockolmo (3-0) 94-74 on Wednesday. Stockolmo made 31-of-40 free shots (77.5 percent) during the game, while Tabare only scored eleven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Tabare 41-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was center Rainer Torres (208-2002) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Joaquin Rodriguez (199-2003) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Stockolmo players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Thomas Araujo (192-2004) who recorded 20 points and point guard Geronimo Viera (172-2004) added 12 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

There was a surprise result when Capitol (1-2) defeated on the road Colon (1-2) 93-88 on Wednesday. Capitol made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Colon turnovers. The best player for the winners was Panamanian power forward Ezequiel Bell (202-1999) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Italian point guard Mateo Giano (186-2000) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Felipe Garcia (173-1999) who recorded 24 points and 5 rebounds and Pablo Gomez (200-2003) added 17 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Five Capitol and four Colon players scored in double figures.

Not a big story in a game in Montevideo where Marne (0-2) was defeated by L.Borges (2-1) 79-67 on Thursday.
