The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: L.Borges (#6) and Verdirrojo (#3). L.Borges (5-2) won against visiting Verdirrojo (4-2) 88-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Verdirrojo. Fernando Verrone (201-1988) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Forward Manuel Oyenard (194-2000) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Federico Haller (200-1988) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 16 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. L.Borges moved-up to third place. Verdirrojo at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Larranaga. L.Borges will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Worth to mention a great performance of Pablo Gomez (200-2003) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Felipe Garcia contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. point guard Bruno Curadossi (191-2004) answered with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for Yale. Yale's coach Ernesto Dorrego rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Colon moved-up to eighth place. Yale at the other side dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Colon will play against Montevideo (#11) on the road in the next round. Yale will play against Tabare and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
