Sergio Conceicao gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso

Sergio Conceicao had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Larre Borges Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga de Ascenso Player of the Week award for round 10.
The had a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Stockolmo (#6, 4-4) 85-74. It allowed L.Borges to consolidate first place in the Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. L.Borges has a very solid 7-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Conceicao just recently signed at L.Borges, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Conceicao has impressive league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 11.3rpg. Conceicao is in league's top in and averages solid 3.7bpg and 57.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Federico Haller (200-F-1988) of second-ranked Verdirrojo Montevideo. Haller impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Verdirrojo to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Tabare (#11, 3-7) 90-62. This victory allowed Verdirrojo to move up to second position in the standings. His team's 7-2 record is not bad at all. Haller is one of the most experienced players at Verdirrojo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#3). He also registered 11.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another L.Borges' star - Manuel Oyenard (194-F-2000). Oyenard scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Larre Borges Montevideo, helping his team with a 85-74 win against the lower-ranked Stockolmo (#6, 4-4). L.Borges confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 2 lost games. Oyenard has a great season in Uruguay. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.8ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 8.8rpg (8th best). He also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 52.4%.
