Malvin Montevideo (LUB) agreed terms with 24-year old guard Santiago Fernandez (186cm-2000) for the new 2025-26 season. He will still stay in Uruguay where he played last season at Trouville. In 26 LUB games in Uruguay, he had 12.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 4.7apg, and 1.1spg. The previous (2024) summer, he played at another Uruguayan team Capitol Montevideo (Metropolitan).
He has played previously for four other teams: Olimpia, Urunday, 25 de Agosto, and Danubio.
Fernandez played in the final of the Uruguay Metropolitan League in 2023.
