Bazan's double-double lands her (Second Stage) Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

22-year old Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-SF-2003) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Yale Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
She had a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds, while her team crushed Aguada (#5, 5-6) with 17-point margin 73-56. Yale maintains the 3rd position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They are still close to the very top. Yale would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-2 record. Bazan has many years of experience at Yale, through which she has constantly improved. Bazan has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 8.8rpg), assists (3rd best: 4.8apg) and averages solid 3.0spg.

Second best performed player last round was Victoria Cantero (173-SF-2002) of Juventud Las Piedras. She is a in her first season at Juventud. In the last game Cantero recorded an impressive 22 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she led Juventud to another comfortable win outscoring Cordon (0-10) 71-36. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Cantero is one of the most experienced players at Juventud and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Carla Miculka (174-F-1993) of league's second-best Malvin Montevideo. Miculka showcased her all-around game by recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. Despite Miculka's great performance the Malvin lost 60-82 to #1 ranked D.Sporting. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Malvin had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 2nd lost game is hopefully really an accident. Miculka's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Miculka has a great season in Uruguay. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.5ppg (6th best), rebounds with 12.3rpg (2nd best) and assists with 3.8apg (8th best). She also has 2.0bpg and a FGP of 61.3%.
