Bacchini number one in Uruguay Liga Femenina for round 4

Argentinian Center Ornela Bacchini (188-C-1989, agency: BIG) had a great game in the last round for Atletico Aguada, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4 (Second Stage).
The 36-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat Lagomar (#5, 5-6) 64-57. Aguada is placed at 4th position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. Aguada is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 6th lost game this season out of 12 games. In the team's last game Bacchini had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Aguada, through which she has constantly improved. Former Our Lady of the Lake University star has very solid stats this year. Bacchini is in league's top in points (8th best: 13.6ppg), rebounds (4th best: 10.5rpg) and averages impressive 52.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Belen Moreira (1999) of Lagomar Canelones Montevideo. Moreira had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Lagomar lost that game 57-64 to slightly higher-ranked Aguada (#4, 6-6). This loss caused Lagomar to drop to 5th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-6 record. Moreira is one of the most experienced players at Lagomar and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Matilde Talamas (F-2006) of Atletico Tabare (#9). Talamas scored 19 points and passed 4 assists. She was a key player of Tabare, leading her team to a 69-39 easy win against Cordon (#10, 0-11). Tabare can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-8 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Talamas she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. Talamas has a very solid season. In 11 games in Uruguay she scored 9.0ppg.
