Conceicao's double-double lands him Liga de Ascenso (Second Stage) Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Sergio Conceicao had an amazing evening in the last round for Larre Borges Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Liga de Ascenso Player of the Week award for round 1 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 14 points and 18 rebounds, while his team edged out Lagomar (#5, 8-6) 86-82. Thanks to this victory L.Borges moved-up to the 4th position in Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. L.Borges will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. Conceicao has many years of experience at L.Borges, through which he has constantly improved. Conceicao has impressive league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 11.0rpg. Conceicao is in league's top in and averages solid 3.5bpg and 53.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Anthony Moe (207-C-1990) of Capitol Montevideo. He is Guyanese-American center in his first season at Capitol. In the last game Moe recorded an impressive double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Capitol lost that game 76-82 to Tabare (6-8). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Moe is one of the most experienced players at Capitol and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Federico Haller (200-F-1988) of league's leader Verdirrojo Montevideo. Haller scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Verdirrojo, leading his team to a 69-62 win against Colon (#7, 6-8). Verdirrojo confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 3 lost games. Haller has a great season in Uruguay. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.8ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 11.0rpg (2nd best). He also has a FGP of 57.8% and 3PT: 42.3%.
