Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: D.Sporting (#1) and Lagomar (#4). Lagomar was defeated at home 54-63 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. D.Sporting forced 21 Lagomar turnovers. Center Josefina Rivera (177-1998) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Argentinian Camila Suarez (178-2000) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Argentinian Anahi Albornoz (-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-2 record. Lagomar at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Aguada.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo: Yale (#3) and Malvin (#2). Yale (12-4) won against visiting Malvin (11-4) 70-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Malvin. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-2003) notched a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Carina Laborde supported her with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds by Argentinian forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) did not help to save the game for Malvin. Yale moved-up to second place. Malvin at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost.
The game in Las Piedras supposed to be also quite interesting. 6th ranked 25 de Agosto (10-6) played at the court of seventh ranked Juventud (8-8). Juventud smashed 25 de Agosto 69-45 on Saturday. Melina Niz fired 26 points and 4 steals for the winners. Analia Martinez produced 10 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Juventud have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 8-8 record, which they share with Urunday. Loser 25 de Agosto keeps the sixth place with six games lost.
In the last game of round 10 Urunday won against Tabare on the opponent's court 68-60.
