Bazan number one in Uruguay Liga Femenina for round 10

Argentinian Agustina Bazan (174-SF-2003) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Yale Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10 (Second Stage).
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat Malvin (#3, 11-4) 70-60. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Yale is placed at 2nd position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Yale will need more victories to improve their 12-4 record. In the team's last game Bazan had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She has many years of experience at Yale, through which she has constantly improved. Agustina Bazan has solid league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 8.3rpg), assists (7th best: 4.4apg) and averages impressive 2.9spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Matilde Talamas (F-2006) of Atletico Tabare. Talamas had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Tabare lost that game 60-68 to slightly higher-ranked Urunday (#8, 8-8). Tabare managed to keep the same 9th spot in the standings. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Tabare managed to get this Second Stage. Talamas is well-known at Tabare and is a proven leader in her second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was Argentinian forward Carla Miculka (174-F-1993) of Malvin Montevideo (#3). Miculka scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). Despite Miculka's great performance the Malvin lost 60-70 to #2 ranked Yale. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Malvin needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 11 victories and 4 lost games. Miculka has a great season in Uruguay. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.6ppg (9th best), rebounds with 11.1rpg (3rd best) and assists with 3.7apg (8th best). She also has 1.7bpg and a FGP of 61.6%.
