The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Malvin (1-1) in Montevideo on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Penarol (2-0) 89-79. Penarol forced 19 Malvin turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American Greg Whittington (205-1993, college: Georgetown) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Santiago Vescovi (191-2001, college: Tennessee) helped adding 17 points and 4 assists. Penarol's coach Leandro Morales used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Puerto Rican swingman Jesus Cruz (196-1998, college: Fairfield) with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Important game to mention about took place in Montevideo. Bigua (2-1) saved a 1-point derby victory at home edging Defensor (2-1) 91-90 in the game for the third place. It was an exceptional evening for Dominican Jhery Matos (196-1996, college: Charlotte) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Deshone Hicks accounted for 19 points and 6 assists. Guard Facundo Terra (187-1998) came up with 20 points for Defensor in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
Urunday (2-1) crushed at home Goes (0-3) by 23 points 97-74, which is the biggest margin this round on Friday night. The best player for the winners was Matias Benitez who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Emiliano Bonet who recorded 14 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

In the last two games of round 3 Nacional won against Welcome on the opponent's court 117-106. Hebraica managed to outperform Cordon in a home game 80-76.

But Welcome was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Montevideo 117-106 on Thursday night. Nacional looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Dominican center James Feldeine (193-1988, college: Quinnipiac) who scored 23 points and 4 assists. Panamanian power forward Ezequiel Bell (202-1999) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Nacional's coach Alvaro Ponce used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Colombian Alvaro Pena (197-1995, agency: Starting 5) who recorded 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Daniel Esparza (188, college: Biola, CA) added 31 points respectively. Five Nacional and four Welcome players scored in double figures.
