Giano number one in Uruguay LUB for round 6

Naturalized Italian Point guard Mateo Giano (186-PG-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for Union Atletica Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (24 points and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Aguada (3-2) 107-92. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. U.Atletica is placed at 3rd position in Uruguayan LUB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. U.Atletica will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Giano had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be U.Atletica's top player in his first season with the team. Mateo Giano averages this season 14.4ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Colombian Alvaro Pena (197-SG-1995, agency: Starting 5) of Atletico Welcome Montevideo. Pena had a very good evening with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Welcome lost that game 81-98 to slightly higher-ranked Cordon (#10, 1-4).
