Mateo Sarni gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan LUB (by Hoops Agents)

Uruguayan-Spanish Mateo Sarni (185-PG-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Urunday Universitario Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 27-year old playmaker got a double-double of 13 points and 15 assists, while his team crushed U.Atletica (#10, 3-6) with 24-point margin 101-77. Urunday is placed at 8th position in Uruguayan LUB. Urunday is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Sarni as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Sarni has impressive league stats. He is league's best passer with 9.7apg. Sarni is in league's top in and averages solid 3.2spg and 44.4% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American power forward Earl Clark (208-PF-1988, agency: BIG) of Atletico Aguada Montevideo. Clark impressed basketball fans with 28 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Aguada was edged by slightly higher-ranked Hebraica (#5, 5-3) 79-78. This loss caused Aguada to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. The third best performed player last round was American Ty Prince (198-F-1999) of Union Atletica Montevideo (#10). Prince scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Prince's great performance the U.Atletica lost 77-101 to slightly higher-ranked Urunday (#8, 4-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Prince has a very solid season. In 9 games in Uruguay he scored 15.0ppg. He also has 6.4rpg, 3.8apg and a FGP of 65.7%.
