Hassan's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

36-year old American Rashad Hassan (203-C/F-1989) had a very impressive game in the last round for Atletico Welcome Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
He had a double-double of 33 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Aguada (#3, 12-6) 86-74. Welcome maintains the 12th position in Uruguayan league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 16 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Hassan had a remarkable 73.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Welcome's top player in his first season with the team. Savannah State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hassan is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.1ppg) and averages solid 63.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Quatarrius Wilson (203-C/F-1996, agency: One Motive Sports) of Union Atletica Montevideo. He is American in his first season at U.Atletica. In the last game Wilson recorded an impressive 33 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course U.Atletica cruised to a 86-79 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Bigua (#6, 10-9). U.Atletica's 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 9-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Wilson is a newcomer at U.Atletica and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#6). He also registered 9.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Manuel Mayora (180-PG-1998) of Hebraica Macabi Montevideo (#5). Mayora scored 16 points and passed 11 assists (!!!). He was a key player of Hebraica, leading his team to a 102-81 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Nacional (#4, 12-6). Hebraica needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 7 lost games. Mayora has a very solid season. In 18 games in Uruguay he scored 6.2ppg.
