Wilson number one in Uruguay LUB for round 21

American Quatarrius Wilson (203-C/F-1996, agency: One Motive Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for Union Atletica Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Urunday (#9, 8-12) 79-76. U.Atletica maintains the 7th position in Uruguayan LUB. U.Atletica is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 10-9 record. Wilson turned to be U.Atletica's top player in his first season with the team. Former Southeast Missouri State University star has very solid stats this year. Wilson is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.7ppg) and averages impressive 58.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Sebastian Ottonello (200-PF-1997) of Atletico Bigua Montevideo. Ottonello had a very good evening with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Bigua to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Cordon (#11, 3-17) 118-70. Bigua's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 11-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Ottonello is a newcomer at Bigua, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Jordan O'Neal (201-F/C-2001, agency: JCK Sports Group) of Atletico Cordon Montevideo (#11). O'Neal scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite O'Neal's great performance the Cordon lost 70-118 to the higher-ranked Bigua (#6, 11-9). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Cordon can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-17 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. O'Neal has a very solid season. In 6 games in Uruguay he scored 16.8ppg. He also has 9.7rpg, 1.7bpg and a FGP of 58.9%.
