The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Malvin (#5) and Hebraica (#3). Malvin (15-8) won against visiting Hebraica (15-9) 90-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hebraica. Malvin shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American guard Joshua Webster (190-1997, college: Missouri St.) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 4 assists. Serbian Dragan Zekovic (209-1987, agency: 011 Sports) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Myke Henry (198-1992, college: DePaul) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for Hebraica. Hebraica's coach Leonardo Zylberstein rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo: Penarol (#1) and Defensor (#6). Penarol (20-4) won against visiting Defensor (12-12) 88-80. It was a great evening for American guard Skyler Hogan (196-1997, college: SEMO) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Nicola Pomoli helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. Penarol's coach Leandro Morales allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was guard Facundo Terra (187-1998) with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The game between Bigua (14-11) and Cordon (4-21) in Montevideo on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Bigua outscored guests from Montevideo 111-76. It was a quality performance for Jhery Matos who led the winners and scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Tevin Glass came up with 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists for Cordon in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
