Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo:Penarol (#1) and Defensor (#6). Penarol (20-4) won against visiting Defensor (12-12) 88-80 . They outrebounded Defensor 44-29 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Skyler Hogan (196-1997, college: SEMO) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Italian swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-1999) helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. Penarol's coach Leandro Morales allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was guard Facundo Terra (187-1998) with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and center Theo Metzger (200-1999) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
