James Feldeine gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan LUB (Second Stage)

Experienced American-Dominican Rep. James Feldeine (193-C-1988) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Nacional De Futbol Montevideo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11 (Second Stage).
The 37-year old center had the game-high 29 points adding four rebounds and six assists for Nacional in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Aguada (#3, 20-11) 98-94. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Nacional maintains the 2nd position in Uruguayan LUB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Nacional will need more victories to improve their 21-10 record. In the team's last game Feldeine had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Nacional's top player in his first season with the team. James Feldeine averages this season 17.2ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Jalen Canty (203-F-1995, agency: Haylett Sports) of Hebraica Macabi Montevideo. Canty impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Hebraica was edged by the higher-ranked Nacional (#2, 21-10) 81-79. Hebraica managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 16-15 record is not bad and everything may still change. Canty is a newcomer at Hebraica and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Nacional's star - Panamanian Ernesto Oglivie (203-C/F-1989). Oglivie showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Nacional De Futbol Montevideo, helping his team with a 98-94 win against #3 ranked Aguada in a game of the week. Nacional needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 21 victories and 10 lost games. Oglivie has a very solid season. In 20 games in Uruguay he scored 12.9ppg. He also has 6.5rpg and a FGP of 64.3%.
