Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Aguada (#3) and Malvin (#4). Malvin was defeated at home 84-94 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It was a good game for naturalized Argentinian power forward Agustin Zuvich (201-1995) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds. point guard Juan Santiso (185-1994) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Forward Nicolas Martinez (206-2003) replied with 16 points and 8 rebounds for Malvin. Malvin's coach Pablo Lopez rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Aguada maintains third position with 21-11 record having just nine point less than leader Penarol. Malvin at the other side keeps the fourth place with 14 games lost.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo: Nacional (#2) and Defensor (#6). Nacional (22-10) smashed visiting Defensor (15-17) by 24 points 97-73. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Connor Zinaich (201-1997, college: Nova SE) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and James Feldeine who added 15 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Victor Rudd (206-1991, college: S.Florida) with 15 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nacional have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 22-10 record having just ten point less than leader Penarol. Defensor at the other side keeps the sixth place with 17 games lost.
Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Montevideo: Penarol (#1) and Hebraica (#5). Penarol (26-6) won against visiting Hebraica (16-16) 74-62. The winners were led by Santiago Vescovi who scored that evening 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds by Jalen Canty did not help to save the game for Hebraica. Hebraica's coach Leonardo Zylberstein tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Penarol have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-6 record. Hebraica lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 16 games lost.
