Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Montevideo:Penarol (#1) and Hebraica (#5). Penarol (26-6) won against visiting Hebraica (16-16) 74-62 . Penarol forced 22 Hebraica turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by guard Santiago Vescovi (191-2001, college: Tennessee) who scored that evening 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard Norris Cole (188-1988, college: CSU) supported him with 18 points and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Jalen Canty (203-1995, college: UCSB, agency: Haylett Sports) did not help to save the game for Hebraica . His fellow American import guard Brandon Weatherspoon (193-2000, college: FAU) added 17 points. Hebraica's coach Leonardo Zylberstein tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Penarol have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-6 record. Hebraica lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 16 games lost.
