The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of 25 de Agosto on the court of Tabare on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Tabare 99-31. Tabare held 25 de Agosto to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Tabare forced 39 25 de Agosto turnovers and outrebounded them 54-35 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tabare looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by 25 de Agosto's players. Forward Sofia Tambasco (-2006) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 6 steals. Forward Carolina Curbelo (178-2002) contributed with 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ileana Duarte (-2005) replied with 10 points and 6 rebounds for 25 de Agosto. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Antonia Basualdo (176-2006) scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and Camila Suarez chipped in 6 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Argentinian center Martina Schunk (181-2005) responded with 7 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. D.Sporting will play against Aguada at home in the next round. Cordon's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Urunday.

Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by Catalina Tano did not help to save the game for Lagomar. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aguada will meet D.Sporting in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. In the last game of round 2 Urunday was beaten by Yale on the road 62-55.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by Rocio Sagardoy of Lagomar.

Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by guard Antonella Ugolini (170-2002) did not help to save the game for Urunday. Argentinian swingman Sofia Paoli (178-1996) added 13 points for the guests.
