Schunk number one in Uruguay Liga Femenina for round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

Argentinian Center Martina Schunk (181-C-2005) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Atletico Cordon Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 20-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 26 rebounds, while her team in a lost game to Urunday (#4, 2-1) 49-67. Cordon maintains the 9th position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They are still not able to win a single game in the league yet. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 3 games and recorded no victories. Schunk just recently signed at Cordon, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Martina Schunk has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (9th best: 13.3ppg) and averages impressive 1.7bpg and 4.0spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Julieta Laubert (169-G-2008) of league's leader Defensor Sporting Club Montevideo. Laubert had a very good evening with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course she led D.Sporting to another comfortable win outscoring Aguada (1-2) 92-45. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Laubert is a newcomer at D.Sporting and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was another D.Sporting's star - swingman Agustina Oyarzabal (175-G/F-2007). Oyarzabal showcased her all-around game by recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Defensor Sporting Club Montevideo, helping her team with a 92-45 easy win against Aguada (#6, 1-2). D.Sporting started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Oyarzabal turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Oyarzabal has a great season in Uruguay. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.7ppg (4th best) and assists with 3.7apg (9th best).
