Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Yale (#5) and Cordon (#8). Cordon was defeated at home 58-67 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Yale forced 24 Cordon turnovers. Argentinian power forward Giselle Botta (180-1999) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Argentinian guard Paola Alegre (162-2001) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Argentinian center Martina Schunk (181-2005) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds. Cordon's coach Matias Bueno rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Yale (3-2) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tabare. Cordon at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. Yale is looking forward to face higher ranked Aguada (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Cordon will have a break next round.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Montevideo: Lagomar (#7) and Urunday (#6). Lagomar (2-3) won against visiting Urunday (2-4) 70-56. Argentinian swingman Rocio Sagardoy (176-2000) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds to lead the effort and Julieta Oyarzabal supported her with 14 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Even a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds by forward Mia Nilo (175-2008) did not help to save the game for Urunday. Urunday's coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lagomar moved-up to sixth place. Urunday lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Lagomar's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena 25 de Agosto.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Tabare (3-2) against fourth ranked Aguada (4-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Tabare was defeated by Aguada in a tough game in Aguada 60-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tabare. The best player for the winners was Romina Dalesandro who scored 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals.
