Medrick number one in Uruguay Liga Femenina for round 6 (by Hoops Agents)

Center Selena Medrick (177-C-2002) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Malvin Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 23-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team 25 de Agosto (#9, 0-5) with 73-point margin 111-38. Malvin maintains the 2nd position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. They are still close to the very top. Malvin would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. Medrick just recently signed at Malvin, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Selena Medrick has solid league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 8.8rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was young Argentinian Abril Ramirez (167-PG-2000, agency: BIG) of Atletico Tabare. Ramirez had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Tabare lost that game 60-68 to slightly higher-ranked Aguada (#3, 4-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Tabare still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Ramirez is one of the most experienced players at Tabare and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.4ppg (#4). Her other stats are also decent: 8.6rpg and 4.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Argentinian swingman Rocio Sagardoy (176-G/F-2000) of Lagomar Canelones Montevideo (#6). Sagardoy scored 21 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Lagomar, leading her team to a 70-56 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Urunday (#7, 2-4). The chances of Lagomar ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Sagardoy could help Lagomar to bring them higher in the standings. Sagardoy has a great season in Uruguay. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.3ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 12.8rpg (3rd best).
