Botta number one in Uruguay Liga Femenina for round 9 (by Hoops Agents)

Argentinian Power forward Giselle Botta (180-F/C-1999) had a great game in the last round for Yale Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (9 points, twenty one rebounds and three assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat Lagomar (4-4) 55-45. Yale is placed at 4th position in Uruguayan Liga Femenina. Yale is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. Botta just recently signed at Yale, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Giselle Botta has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 14.4ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 12.1rpg) and averages impressive 3.0spg.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Catalina Quintana (162-PG-2000) of 25 de Agosto Montevideo (#9). Quintana scored 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Despite Quintana's great performance the 25 de Agosto lost 65-84 to the higher-ranked Urunday (#6, 3-5). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. 25 de Agosto can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 8 games. Quintana has a very solid season. In 7 games in Uruguay she scored 9.0ppg. She also has 5.0rpg and 2.1spg.
