Garcia number one in Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso for round 3

Point guard Felipe Garcia (173-PG-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Colon F.C., receiving a Hoops Agents Liga de Ascenso Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 26-year old player tried to help (36 points, three rebounds and three assists) his team in a lost game to Verdirrojo (#9, 1-1) 84-91. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Colon moved-up to the 12th position in Uruguayan Liga de Ascenso. They are still not able to win a single game in the league yet. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 2 games and recorded no victories. In the team's last game Garcia had a remarkable seven three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He just recently signed at Colon and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Felipe Garcia has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.0ppg. Garcia is in league's top in and averages impressive 57.1% FGP and 62.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Panamanian Aaron Gedeon (203-F-1999, agency: AltusBasket) of league's leader Albatros. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Gedeon is one of the most experienced players at Albatros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#9). He also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Albatros' star - forward Thiago Copelotti (F-2002). Copelotti showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Albatros, helping his team with a 90-78 win against Marne (#13, 0-2). Albatros has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Copelotti also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Copelotti has a great season in Uruguay. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.5apg (9th best).
