LINABAFE 2011 - Yaracuyanas BBC wins the championship - Oct 25, 2011

Barquisimeto, Venezuela.- Yaracuyanas BBC won the championship in the 2011 edition of Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Femenino (Linabafe), as they were able to recover from a defeat in Game 1 and sweep in the following three (3-1), against Llaneras de Cojedes.

Yaracuyanas BBC (13-0) had been the runner up in 2010 but this time made sure to have enough tools to work with in order to take down Llaneras de Cojedes (7-6), The U18 Squad of Lara State (3-10) and Aguilas Universitarias de Barinas (3-10) in a tournament that had only four teams.

In Game 4, the team coached by Hugo Calvette won 103-84 as visitors at Federico Sanchez Arena of Tinaquillo, Cojedes, thanks to 28 points by Ivaney Marquez and 24 more by Sonia Rodriguez (90). For Llaneras, Nathaly Malpica netted 20 and Jofranny Guerra (88) added 13.

Ivaney Marquez was named Most Valuable Player of the LINABAFE 2011 Finals.
