Aduaneros de Carabobo celebrated the LNB title. They overcame Gucharos in the fifth decisive game of the championship series. Jose Vargas (195-G/F-82) recorded 21 points to pace the winning side. Guacharos got to the better start. The visitors earned a 25:15 lead after the opening frame. They maintained the lead throughout the second term. Guacharos posted a 36:29 halftime advantage. The visitors stretched the margin to as many as 14 points but Aduaneros stopped the rot. They responded with an 18:2 rally and secured a 54:52 lead at the final intermission. Gucharos regained the lead at 65:64 following a basket from Luis Bethelmy (200-F/C-86). But Jose Vargas hit a decisive bucket and sealed the historic win for Aduaneros. Pedro Cubillan (187-G-82) and Miguel Ruiz (197-F-90) notched 10 points each for the hosts. Luis Bethelmy responded with 29 points for Guacharos. David Cedeno (19-G-83) had 12 points in the loss.
