Centauros sign Kelvin Pena, ex Club San Jose

Centauros de Portuguesa (SLB) signed experienced 40-year old Dominican-Venezuelan guard Kelvin Pena (193-80, college: Southeastern). He played last summer at Club San Jose in Higuey League in Dominican Republic.
Pena represented Dominican Republic at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz (Mexico) six years ago. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 5 games: 6.2ppg, 2.2rpg, 1.8apg, FGP: 38.5%, 3PT: 31.3%, FT: 66.7%.
Pena is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Colombia (Academia), Cyprus, France, Spain, Uruguay and Venezuela (Toros and Araguenos) and Dominican Republic (Soles de Santo Domingo, Gregorio Urbano Gilbert, Caneros Del Este, Metros de Santiago and Madre Vieja).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Pena played in the final of Dominican Republic Santiago League in 2019. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic 2nd Team in 2019.
Pena attended Southeastern Community College until 2004 and it will be his 17th (!!!) season as a professional player.
