Gigantes - Guaiqueries 77-84

Guaiquiries upset Gigantes on the road to take 2-1 lead in the series. Guaiqueries made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Guaiqueries had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of international point guard Heissler Guillent (186-86) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 assists. The former international forward Michael Carrera (196-93, college: S.Carolina, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 8 points and 14 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Gregory Curvelo (195-90) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Luis Duarte (190-94) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Gigantes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

Broncos edged Trotamundos to surge ahead in the series. It was a good game for international point guard Garly Sojo (196-99) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Junior Martinez (200-92) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Broncos players scored in double figures. Broncos' coach Manuel Berroteran used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized American Donta Smith (201-83, college: SE Illinois JC) answered with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and international forward Miguel Ruiz (197-90, agency: Pro Sports) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Trotamundos.
