Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Venezuelans who are currently playing abroad.
#1. This week's number one is former U17 international center Sergio Mijares (1997, currently plays in Chile). He led Aleman to a victory over the 14th-ranked CD Municipal Chillan (0-2) 66-48 in the Chilean LNB 2 (second division) in Saturday night's game.
Mijares was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 11 rebounds. Mijares also added 4 assists and 3 steals (made all of his five free throws) in 25 minutes on the court.
CD Aleman Concepcion (0-2) is placed second in the LNB 2.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Mijares has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.0ppg, 6.8rpg, 3.3apg, 1.8spg, 3FGP: 35.7% and FT: 88.9% in four games he played so far.
Mijares played for the Venezuelan U17 national team year ago.
#2. Second place goes to an experienced former international point guard
Heissler Guillent (186-1986, currently plays in Colombia). He was the major contributor in
Titanes' victory against the fifth-ranked Team Cali (5-7)
78-75 in the Colombian Liga WPlay last Wednesday.
Guillent recorded 17 points and added 5 assists.
Titanes de Barranquilla (12-0) is placed first in the Liga WPlay.
So far his team won all two games in the Semi-Finals.
Guillent has relatively good stats this season: 13.0ppg, 3.6rpg, 6.2apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 48.1%, 3FGP: 34.3% and FT: 79.5%.
He played for the Venezuelan national team in 22.
#3. The Venezuelan player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward
Jose Ascanio (204-1996, currently plays in Argentina). Ascanio contributed to an easy victory against the league leader Boca (7-0)
92-75 in the Argentinian La Liga on Sunday night.
He recorded 11 points in only a mere 14 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Quimsa Santiago del Estero (30-8) is placed first in the La Liga.
It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row.
This year Ascanio's overall stats are: 5.9ppg, 2.7rpg, 2FGP: 75.0%(12-16), 3FGP: 66.7% in seven games.
He played for the Venezuelan national team year ago.
#4. Swingman
Jesus Medina (188-1994, currently plays in Colombia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Heissler Guillent. But that was another game of his team in Colombian Liga WPlay which we would like to mention.
Medina could not help
Titanes (12-0) in their last game. Despite his good performance the league leader Titanes lost
77-85 on the road to the lower-ranked (#5) Team Cali.
Medina scored 11 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 27 minutes.
This year Medina's total stats are: 7.2ppg, 3.6rpg and 2.6apg in 14 games.

#5. Former international forward
Michael Carrera (196-1993, agency:
BIG, college:
S.Carolina, currently plays in Spain) was the main contributor in
Lleida's victory against the eighth-ranked Caceres (19-16)
87-79 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Friday night's game.
He was the best player in that game. Carrera recorded 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 31 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. ICG Forca Lleida (21-12) is placed third in the LEB Gold.
Carrera has very impressive stats this year: 17.7ppg, 7.7rpg and 2.2apg in 32 games.

#6. Swingman
Jhornan Zamora (196-1989, currently plays in France) was not able to help
Saint-Quentin in their game against JA Vichy (17-17) in the French ProB (second division).
He scored 8 points and added 3 passes in 24 minutes.
Saint-Quentin lost
65-77 in Vichy to the lower-ranked (#8) JA Vichy.
This year Zamora has relatively solid stats: 11.9ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.5apg and 1.7spg in 35 games.
He is a former international player as he played for the Venezuelan senior team year ago.
#7. Former international guard
Yohanner Sifontes (192-1995, currently plays in Colombia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Heissler Guillent and both played together in the last Colombian Liga WPlay game.

#2. Dario Castro (206-C-1991, currently plays in Colombia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Maolin Colina. But that was another game of his team in Colombian Liga WPlay which we would like to mention.
Castro managed to help Bucaros de Bucaramanga to win against the league outsider Tigrillos (1-11) crushing them
84-59.
He recorded only 4 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
Bucaros de Bucaramanga (8-4) is placed second in the Liga WPlay.
Castro has averaged so far 1.5ppg and 2.5rpg.
#3. Luis Merida (190-SG-1992, currently plays in Chile). Merida could not help
Castro to beat Universidad de Concepcion (9-2).
He scored only 4 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists.
His team was defeated
77-67 at home by the leading Universidad de Concepcion.
Merida has averaged so far 8.9ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.4spg.
#4. Experienced
Jesus Martinez (206-F/C-1986, currently plays in Colombia) led
Cafeteros to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Storm (4-8)
95-77 in the Colombian Liga WPlay last Sunday.
Martinez was the top player that evening. He scored 23 points, grabbed 6 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 2 shots in 28 minutes.
Cafeteros de Armenia (7-5) is placed third in the Liga WPlay.
Martinez has reliable stats this year: 10.9ppg, 8.9rpg, 1.2apg and 1.6bpg in 16 games he played so far.
